We had another successful Xero Hour in September focused on apps. Why are apps important? In today’s day and age, there are new apps all the time and the Xero App Market Place is ever growing with apps that integrate with Xero. It’s nice to know what other Xero Partners are using and what they like about them.

The September San Jose Xero Hour took place at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Santana Row.  We had a great time and had a great group. You can’t beat Maggiano’s food! October’s San Jose Xero Hour will be at Maggiano’s again, but this time will be in the evening.

What’s Your App Stack?

September’s month discussion was all about apps. We discussed which apps we especially like.  We began our discussion talking about client apps that integrate well with Xero. Xero integrates with many different apps so it is nice to find out which ones others are using and enjoying. 

Here are a few of the apps that we discussed:

  • Hubdoc– We love the way it integrates with Xero and how now it is even in the Xero HQ so we can see a quick at a glance report of the status for our clients using Hubdoc.
  • MoneyThumb– This is an app that is made for converting PDF files to CSV and other forms to use to import files into Xero. This is great for clients that use a bank that does not have direct feeds to Xero or if the client is unable to get CSV files of their transaction activity.
  • Expensify– Many people mentioned they love using Expensify for expense reports. It works well with Xero.
  • Slack– Many of us at the Meetup enjoy using Slack because it is a great way to message with your team. We are big fans of Slack here at BBB.
