This month we are focusing on good practices to follow when starting a new business. A basic step when starting a new business is creating a new Xero file, and one of the first steps to that is editing your settings.
One of the things we love about Xero is how the settings can be adjusted and personalized for any business. Here we will highlight some settings and why they are useful.
In Xero go to Settings>General Settings> Organizational Settings.
When editing the above settings there is a box to check that allows the settings to apply to your invoices. We suggest checking most of these boxes as it will bring over this information to your invoices at the same time. It is good to include your mailing address, your physical address, and your logo.
It might seem like a simple thing to set up your settings properly, but spending a little time doing this in the beginning, will help you greatly in the long run.
